Description

NGC281 (aka Sh2-184) is a nebula located about 10,000 light years away in the constellation Cassiopea.  There are several areas in this image where stars are being formulated.  The large Bok globule is about 2.6 light years in diameter.

This image is a 2 frame mosaic of the area.
