Description

NGC1333 is a complex region of the Persues OB2 region.  It contains several star forming regions with several young stars that are around 1 million years old.  This area contains both emission and reflection nebulae as well as dark clouds.  This region is about 1000 light years away and likely harbors some 100's of new stars.  The brighter area is likely around 3-4 light years across.\

This area of the sky has lots of dust clouds and other items as can be seen in Adam Block's wide field view of this area.
