I used a Canon 40D with a chip 3888 x 2592 @240 pixels per inch and a Coronado Ha telescope with a Televue 2X converter on an EZ Mount. This is a single image taken at 1/25th sec @ 800 ISO. Processing was done by removing the blue channel and balancing the Red/Green channels then using Blue channel as luminance overlay. Other than brightness/saturation/curves adjustment, only a light noise reduction was used to remove grain effects induced by 800 asa and cropping for framing. Image is 1.3 mg jpeg which is 50% of the cropped image. |
