IC1318 is the extended patch of nebula that surrounds the star gamma Cygni (Sadr). Given the extended nebulosity in this area as well as some star clusters, this should be a good place to assemble a mosaic over the next several sessions. This area is also part of the Butterfly nebula. This image is an HaRGB image of a portion of this nebula. More to come but this looked nice as is..... |
