This 2 panel mosaic was selected as the APOD for March 4, 2011. It is of the nebulae in Cygnus 6000 ly distant. Large OB2 stars provided the energy to produce the dramatic reflection part of the nebulae. Data obtained by Jack Harvey usage the 1.23 meter telescope at Calar Alto. Processing by V. Peris, J. Harvey and Juan Conjero. |
